EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY
Rubis Guyana Inc., a company specializing in the storage and marketing of petroleum products, is seeking to fill the vacant position of Terminal Operator.
The Portfolio
The responsibilities for the position include:
- Carry out tank gauging and product quality controls
- Safe handling of petroleum products
- Operate receipt and delivery equipment
- Participate in ocean tanker receipt process
- Load and unload petroleum products on trucks
- Carry out minor terminal maintenance and documentation
- Perform safety and operational checks on company equipment including the updating of records
- Participate in safety meetings
Requirements
- 5 CXC’s including Mathematics and English
- Possession of a Technical Certificate is preferred
- 1 to 2 years’ experience in a similar environment
- Possession of a valid driver’s license
- Computer literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Willingness to work within a flexible work arrangement
